ONLINE CLASS:
Music Theory for Singers, Level One
February 6 - March 27, 2025, held on Thursday Evenings, Weekly

Singers, Set Yourself Apart: Be a Better Singer by Powering up your Music Theory Skills!
Music Theory is the foundation of everything we sing, whether we love singing rock, pop, gospel, blues, jazz to musical theatre, or sing in a choir or sing opera!
When you understand how music theory works, you literally have the key to unlock the power of your own unique voice and interpretation. Knowing how music works can make the difference between a 'generically good' performance and an electric, memorable, and meaningful performance!

The Vandermeer Voice Studio 'Music Theory for Singers, Level One Class' includes these foundational topics:
EAR TRAINING - so you can better identify intervals, learn music faster, understand what other singers are doing melodically and harmonically, and improve your musical memory
READ MUSIC - so you can have confidence when working on your own material, with other musicians and producers, and be a better team player with your band, choir, conductor, or instrumentalists
SCALES & INTERVALS - so you can harmonize well, improvise effectively, create interesting riffs, write great songs, and improve intonation
CHORDS - so you can understand harmony, how the chords work with your melodies, how the chords create the backbone of your melodies, and how chords give you clues to enhancing your personal interpretation and emotional expression.
